New York Pride Parade 2019

This year, I was privileged to march with the New York Buddhist Church . We marched for equality and inclusiveness. The parade was led by Matthew Shepard's parents. Everyone's presence was appreciated, especially since the fight for marriage equality is all but won, yet these last couple of years have seen the rate of hate crimes against the LGBTQI community increase tremendously. Including the campaign of intimidation and psychological abuse inflicted on me and my loved ones, perpetrated in part as abuse under the color of authority... So definitely a cornerstone of my pretext in escaping to forbidding-by-reputation Manhattan - I must settle upon Mohandas Ghandi as my touchstone for today.
